Using a poultice may also help; try moistening freshly grated horseradish, place it in a small, porous bag, and place it over the area afflicted by joint pain.

Boil 1 tsp. of cayenne pepper and one cup of apple cider vinegar, soak a rag in the mixture, and place it on the affected area.

One proven remedy may not sound that tasty, but may be worth a try. Grate a potato and soak it overnight in a cup of water. The next day, strain the potato and drink the liquid. You should drink this oncee a day for the best results and to prevent the bursitis from returning.

Vitamin deficiencies can contribute to the organs swelling, so take some extra vitamin C or vitamin B12. You can get a lot of the vitamins you need by eating salads.

If you suffer often from bursitis, you should mix water with honey and apple cider vinegar to drink daily as well.
